In our non-Christian household this is my version of the advent calendar, each year the stuff arrives in a boat, by plane, then again by boat. I give them chocolates and design stuff. Alas they have outgrown this homemade tradition.

One year the daily treat was a small painted card, which was stitched together to create a whole picture.
